The Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) participated in the Small States and Territories Working Group Meeting, hosted by the Autorité Monégasque de Sécurité Financière (AMSF) in Monaco in October 2024.
The initiative brought together representatives of several small jurisdictions to discuss common challenges related to the prevention and combating of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing.
The meeting built upon the work initiated in 2018, which led to the development of specific guidance on terrorist financing risk assessment. Discussions focused on the particular characteristics and needs of small jurisdictions in implementing international AML/CFT/CFP standards.
During the meeting, participating jurisdictions agreed to enhance dialogue and mutual cooperation through more regular engagement, the sharing of experiences, and the development of additional tools and guidance to support competent authorities.
ASIF expresses its appreciation to the Financial Intelligence Unit of Monaco for the excellent organisation of the meetings and the warm hospitality extended to all participants.
