On the occasion of the Egmont Group Plenary held in Baku (Azerbaijan), the Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Agency for Financial Investigation of Cameroon, represented by its Acting Director, H. E. Jean Bertin Meba.
The signing of the agreement represents a further step forward in strengthening ASIF’s international cooperation and consolidates its relations with Cameroon, a strategic partner in the development of the Authority’s cooperation network across the African continent.
The Memorandum aims to foster structured cooperation between the two Authorities through the exchange of information and enhanced collaboration, including through the sharing of best practices, in combating money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing, as well as related predicate offences.
