The Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) participated in the Global FIU Leadership Conference: “Back to the Future”, organised in Bern by ECOFEL and the Swiss Financial Intelligence Unit on 14 and 15 October 2025.
The Conference brought together heads and senior representatives of Financial Intelligence Units from numerous jurisdictions members of the Egmont Group to discuss the main challenges and opportunities associated with the evolving role of FIUs in an environment shaped by rapid technological and digital transformation.
During the event, ASIF was invited to participate in a thematic panel dedicated to the future opportunities and challenges facing FIUs, sharing its experience and contributing to the international discussion on the evolution of financial intelligence activities.
The sessions addressed a number of topical issues, including the application of artificial intelligence to financial intelligence, the impact of emerging technologies and digital tools on analytical processes, and the strategies required to address the challenges arising from the ongoing digital transition.
The Conference provided an important forum for dialogue among FIU leaders, fostering the exchange of experiences, the sharing of international best practices, and reflection on the future of financial intelligence.
