From 22 to 26 June 2026, the Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) participated in the FATF Standards Training Course, jointly organised by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and MONEYVAL in Valletta, Malta, with the support of Malta's National Coordinating Committee on Combating Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism.
The initiative brought together professionals and representatives from MONEYVAL jurisdictions involved in the prevention and combating of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing, providing an important opportunity for discussion and in-depth analysis of the FATF Standards and their effective implementation.
Through a combination of theoretical sessions and practical exercises, participants examined the main international AML/CFT/CPF requirements, while sharing experiences and best practices relating to the development of their respective national frameworks and the effectiveness of the measures adopted.
