THE FUNCTIONS OF THE SUPERVISORY AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION AUTHORITY
The Authority shall perform the following functions, in full autonomy and independence, in accordance with existing laws and without prejudice
to the responsibilities of the Financial Security Committee and the other bodies tasked with the regulation, oversight and supervision of entities
of the Holy See and Vatican City State:
- supervision:
- supervision aimed at the prevention and countering of money laundering and the financing of terrorism;
- prudential supervision of those entities that carry out a financial activity on a professional basis;
- regulation for prudential purposes for those entities that carry out a financial activity on a professional basis and,
in the cases provided for by law, regulation for the prevention and countering of money laundering and the financing of terrorism;
- financial intelligence.

The Authority has three units:
